COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Good neighbours. Clear boundaries.

A useful marketplace starts with the way we treat one another.

Be accurate. Be yourself.

Use your own identity or an authorised business identity. Show accurate photos, current prices and realistic availability. Do not imply Afrosouq has verified your phone, business or professional credentials unless a clearly described check has actually taken place.

Show your own work.

Upload real photos of your own work or offering, and only photos you have permission to publish. Get permission from anyone identifiable. Photos used without permission will be removed.

Offer only what you’re allowed to provide.

Maintain the permissions required for your specific offering. Food sellers must meet applicable licensing and food-safety requirements. Childcare, fitness, maternity, visa and document providers must stay within their authorised scope. Accommodation requires the right to advertise and all applicable permissions.

Keep prohibited content out.

Do not list illegal or stolen goods; counterfeit products; weapons; controlled drugs; fraudulent documents; deceptive financial schemes; sexual exploitation; unauthorised recruitment or visa guarantees; discriminatory offers; or unauthorised room rentals. Do not sell personal data or post private identity documents publicly.

Respect people and their privacy.

No harassment, threats, hate speech, discriminatory exclusion or unsolicited spam. Do not expose a customer’s or provider’s private details in a listing or review. Use contact information only for a relevant enquiry.

Keep reviews honest.

Review only genuine personal experiences. No purchased reviews, self-reviews, competitor attacks or pressure to change a rating. Report an abusive review through support, including the review and listing reference.

Help us take a closer look.

Report questionable content from its listing page. We may pause content while assessing a report, request clarification or decline a submission. Contact support if you think a decision needs reconsideration.
