Your listing does not need to sound like a large company’s brochure. It needs to explain what you do, where you do it and what someone should ask for next. Specific details are more useful than a long list of compliments about your own service.
Put the offering in the title
“Medium knotless braids in Al Barsha” tells a customer more than “The best beauty service.” A tutor can name the subject and lesson format. A photographer can name the kind of session they offer. Choose the words a customer would recognise when looking for that service.
Keep one listing focused on one coherent offering. If you do several very different things, separate listings can help customers understand the scope and see relevant photographs.
Use a description with a clear order
Start with what the customer receives. Then describe who the offering is for, what is included, how it is delivered and any information you need before confirming a quote. Finish with practical terms such as availability or your service area.
For a flyer-design service, that might mean the type of flyer, the files delivered, the agreed revision allowance and what text or images the customer must supply. Avoid promises about results you cannot control.
Let photos support the description
Upload examples of your own work that match the listing. Choose a strong cover image and use the remaining gallery for useful detail. Check that you have permission to publish any customer photographs.
A clear photograph does not replace a description, and a description should not make a customer guess what a photograph includes in the price. The two should tell the same story.
Make the next step obvious
Set the correct emirate and neighbourhood, choose a meaningful price unit and use a contact number you are entitled to publish. Explain whether you work remotely, visit customers or receive them at a specific location. Include relevant credentials accurately without describing an unverified claim as platform approval.
On Afrosouq, you can save a draft on your device, review it and submit it when ready. New and edited listings enter moderation before they appear publicly. Use your dashboard to check status and read any feedback.
Before submitting, read the listing as if you had never met yourself. Can a customer tell what to request, what to expect and what still needs confirming? If so, the listing is doing its job.
